Asbestos Surveys
Our asbestos surveys are designed to identify the presence, condition, and risk of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in a property. Depending on your needs, we offer:
Demolition Surveys
Required before a structure is demolished. This is an intrusive inspection aimed at locating all ACMs that may be disturbed during demolition.Refurbishment Surveys
Required before carrying out renovation or refurbishment work. This survey targets specific areas where work will take place.Relocation Surveys
Ideal for prefabricated buildings or relocatable structures. Ensures all ACMs are identified and managed prior to moving.Management Surveys
A standard non-intrusive survey to assess ACMs during normal occupancy and use. Required for ongoing management of asbestos in buildings.
All our surveys are conducted in accordance with WorkSafe New Zealand guidelines and industry best practices.
Asbestos Clearance & Reoccupation Certificates
Following asbestos removal, a clearance inspection is required to confirm that the area is safe to reoccupy. We provide:
Class B Clearance Inspection
A visual inspection and clearance certificate for non-friable asbestos removal (e.g., bonded materials like fibre cement sheeting).Class A Clearance – 4 Stage Clearance Process
A detailed inspection for friable asbestos removal. This includes:
1 Preliminary check of the work area and equipment.
2 Visual inspection for residual asbestos.
3 Air monitoring to ensure airborne fibres are within safe limits.
4 Final assessment and clearance certificate.
Our clearance procedures ensure that areas meet strict WorkSafe NZ standards before they are reoccupied.
Asbestos Air Monitoring
Air monitoring is the process of sampling and analysing airborne fibres to assess the presence and concentration of asbestos in the air.
This service is crucial:
During or after asbestos removal to ensure worker and public safety.
For reassurance in areas where asbestos is present but removal is not immediately planned.
To verify safe conditions following accidental disturbance of suspected asbestos.
We use calibrated sampling equipment and accredited laboratories to provide reliable, legally compliant results. Results are reported promptly and clearly.
